Man Utd players frustrated with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

If you thought it was just fans and former players who were frustrated with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s time as Manchester United manager, it would seem you would now be wrong.

According to a report that has been published by ESPN and found via their sources, it would seem there are a number of players within the current team that are always getting frustrated with the way the manager handles things at the club.

It is claimed that there are some who believe they have been misled by the Norwegian about their chances of getting minutes under their belts for the Red Devils, with some now said to be as unhappy as they would be if they did not check out for all the best online casino bonus offers when looking for something to do when they get a rare bit of time off.

Solskjaer is said to have accepted during meetings that took place over the summer that he had “overplayed” key players in the previous campaign when he could have used others and is understood to have promised those that were on the fringes that they would get more football in the current campaign.

Amongst the names that were allegedly provided with a promise that the manager seemingly has failed to keep are Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot, Juan Mata and Alex Telles.

Following those discussions, some players were happy to wait their time and work hard to try and represent the shirt on the pitch, although it would seem nothing has really changed for them and that they are now starting to get a little frustrated with what is happening.

Taking Van de Beek as an example, and a well-documented one at that, the Dutchman has played just 16 minutes in the Premier League this season, whilst Lingard has started just one game in the Carabao Cup, despite scoring two league goals as a substitute including the late winner against West Ham United.

Mata is another to be frustrated as his only start was in the Carabao Cup tie against the Hammers, whilst Eric Bailly has had to settle for a place out of the team when Harry Maguire had trained just once ahead of their 4-2 defeat to Leicester City.

Despite the poor form that the current team of stars is showing, the names above are rarely given their opportunity to try and help the team improve.

This is thought to have led the likes of Van de Beek to explore their options ahead of January, with Lingard also showing signs that he will leave as he is yet to sign a new contract ahead of it coming to an end in the summer.

According to the report by ESPN, both players will not be short of suitors, either. Van de Beek could head to Everton or Newcastle United on loan in January and get a proper taste of Premier League action, whilst Lingard is said to be wanted abroad with Barcelona and AC Milan said to be interested in a free transfer.
