Confirmed lineups: Everton vs Man Utd

Manchester United are back in action just two-and-a-half days since our 1-2 loss at Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League.

The Premier League haven’t been too kind to us by giving us the Saturday lunchtime kickoff, whilst Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also had a few defensive injuries to deal with of late.

Everton made a flying start to the 2020-21 campaign with four consecutive Premier League victories, but have taken just one point from their three games following the international break.

The two teams for today’s game are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred, Juan Mata, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Dean Henderson, Axel Tuanzebe, Nemanja Matic, Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba, Daniel James, Edinson Cavani

Victor Lindelof returns from a back injury to take his place alongside Harry Maguire in the only change in our back four from midweek. David de Gea returns in goal.

Scott McTominay and Fred start in front of the defence as we predicted yesterday, whilst Juan Mata keeps his place down the right wing. Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek only among the substitutes.

Anthony Martial is back up front in the Premier League after serving his three-match ban, meaning Marcus Rashford moves out to the left wing.

Everton

Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, Lucas Digne; Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Gylfi Sigurdsson; James Rodriguez, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Bernard

Substitutes: Robin Olsen, Ben Godfrey, Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes, Tom Davies, Alex Iwobi, Cenk Tosun

We should certainly feel confident in getting among the goals today – Jordan Pickford is arguably the worst goalkeeper in the Premier League, Seamus Coleman and Mason Holgate are only just back from injury and Michael Keane has been poor since leaving Burnley for Merseyside.

The hosts will be out Richarlison in attack but Dominic Calvert-Lewin is hte league’s joint top scorer and James Rodriguez has been excellent since his move from Real Madrid before the start of the season.
