Confirmed lineups: PSG vs Man Utd

Manchester United are in the French capital this evening to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first group stage match of our 2020-21 Champions League campaign.

This is our first visit back to the Parc des Princes since Marcus Rashford’s stoppage time penalty that saw us eliminate the French champions in the second round of the competition two seasons ago.

After a late start to the season due to their participation in August’s final, PSG’s season is up-and-running now, winning five straight domestically, scoring 16 and conceded just once in the process.

The two lineups for tonight’s game are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Axel Tuanzebe, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay, Fred, Alex Telles, Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Dean Henderson, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Brandon Williams, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata, Facundo Pellistri, Daniel James, Odion Ighalo

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to have named a back three for the trip to France with Harry Maguire missing from the matchday squad. Youngster Axel Tuanzebe comes in to partner Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw. Alex Telles and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be the wingbacks.

Bruno Fernandes will be behind the strike duo of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

Paul Pogba is only among the substitutes, as is 18-year-old Uruguayan winger Facundo Pellistri.

Paris Saint-Germain

Keylor Navas; Alessandro Florenzi, Abdou Diallo, Presnel Kimpembe, Layvin Kurzawa; Ander Herrera, Andreas Pereira, Idrissa Gueye; Angel Di Maria, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar

Substitutes: Sergio Rico, Alexandre Letellier, Timothee Pembele, Marquinhos, Mitchel Bakker, Colin Dagba, Kays Ruiz-Atil, Bandiougou Fadiga, Rafinha, Pablo Sarabia, Julian Draxler, Moise Kean

Three former Manchester United players start for the hosts tonight as Thomas Tuchel goes with Andreas Pereira and Ander Herrera alongside Idrissa Gueye in their central midfield three. Angel Di Maria supports Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in attack.

Marquinhos is only among the substitutes for Paris Saint-Germain so they are not at their strongest.
