Manchester United are set to face West Ham United in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
We head into the game only behind Leicester City in fourth spot on goals scored, with this being our game in hand on the Foxes before we go head-to-head in the season finale at the King Power Stadium on Sunday. Chelsea start the day one point above us and their game in hand is away to Liverpool after ours has finished.
The Red Devils are the clear favourites to beat the East London club midweek, with David Moyes’ side all but secure for another season of Premier League football. The best odds we could find on a Manchester United win being 1.23 with Olybet.
Prior to the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has today provided an injury update and team news.
Eric Bailly clashed heads with Harry Maguire at the end of the first half in our 1-3 loss against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Sunday. The centre-back was stretchered off but it appears he could be available for the weekend, though unlikely to play midweek, with Ole telling MUTV:
“Of course, he was shaken up a bit. He had a big blow to his head. We’re still monitoring him.
“He stayed down in London after the game. I’ve not seen him this morning yet because these interviews are before the boys meet up.
“I’ll see him soon and, hopefully, he’ll be alright.”
Manchester United will also be without left-back Luke Shaw following the twisted ankle he picked up in our 2-2 draw versus Southampton last Monday. Brandon Williams is expected to keep his place at left-back when we face the Hammers.
Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are long-term injuries, limiting Ole to the options he has at centre-back for our penultimate game.
The boss has everyone available in attack, with Anthony Martial only coming on just before half-time on Sunday and Mason Greenwood being introduced in the second half, hopefully allowing them both to be fresh for this one.
