Paul Pogba celebrates derby win

Manchester United were 2-0 winners in the derby over Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Anthony Martial and Scott McTominay scored in either half as we showed great defensive resilience to limit Pep Guadriola’s opportunities on goal during the 90 minutes.

Following the game, United midfielder Paul Pogba sent a message out last night toasting the glory.

The French international hasn’t played since our 4-1 thrashing of Newcastle United on Boxing Day amid speculation he will leave over the summer. He posted the following message on his Instagram account at full-time on Sunday:

Paul Pogba has rarely looked interested in playing for Manchester United and fans’ patience has run out on the 26-year-old. As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did with Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in moving both players on to Internazionale last summer, fans will be excited to see the end of Pogba’s time at Old Trafford.

This seems to be nothing more than a token gesture of support for his teammates as he does not care about Manchester United.

Pogba has not tasted a Premier League victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford during his time at the club. The 2018 World Cup winner has already been replaced by Bruno Fernandes in the number 10 role anyway. The Portuguese superstar has been excellent in all of his matches in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup since joining from Sporting Club of Portugal at the end of January.
