Ole had this to say about Rashford following Liverpool draw

Manchester United ended Liverpool’s 17-game Premier League winning streak with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Marcus Rashford converted Daniel James’ cross from the right wing to give us the lead 10 minutes before half-time.

It was a game of few chances and our defence had been playing great against Liverpool’s feared attack until we fell asleep in the final 10 minutes to gift Adam Lallana a tap in from close range to equalise.

It was a great tactical display from the manager whilst Marcus Rashford showed what he is capable of after he’s had a rest with a masterful performance leading the line.

Speaking after the game, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had this to say about our striker, telling MUTV:

“Not just for the movement for the goal, but for his movement all night really, I think maybe it’s one of his best games for us. I think he’s showing strength. You could see that down the side when he showed his pace against Van Dijk and there was a body-to-body challenge there. He was strong. But the goal is what we want from him – tap-ins. We had a little video session yesterday and exactly that happened.”

Manchester United have been criticised by many for allowing a disinterested Romelu Lukaku to move on loan to Internazionale for the season, but Rashford looked the part today.

The 21-year-old had looked fatigued in the weeks prior to the international break. Rashford had been playing a lot as a result of an injury to Anthony Martial earlier in the season.
