Manchester United are set to face Liverpool in the Premier League at Old Trafford this afternoon.
We start the day down in 14th and only one point above the relegation zone, whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side are trying to tie a Premier League record for 18 consecutive wins.
The Manchester Evening News have just reported our matchday squad to face the league leaders.
There’s a good and bad news on the injury front. David de Gea is in the squad so will presumably be fit to start after a recent injury scare. Anthony Martial has returned from his lengthy layoff but would be a surprise to see him start.
However, Luke Shaw has not recovered in time to face Liverpool, so Ashley Young is expected to start at left-back. Brandon Williams is another option to Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard are absent in midfield. Youngsters James Garner, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes are all named in the matchday squad.
The Manchester United squad to face Liverpool this afternoon according to MEN is as follows:
Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant

Midfielders: James Garner, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Juan Mata, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes
