Manchester United will be looking to join Liverpool and Arsenal on two wins from two when we travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers this evening.
We thrashed Chelsea 4-0 in our opening game whilst Wolves were held to a 0-0 draw at Leicester City.
Confidence must be oozing through the side following our impressive performance last weekend and hopefully the boys can pick up another three points at Molineux this evening.
Here are the two confirmed lineups:
David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial; Marcus Rashford
Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Axel Tuanzebe, Ashley Young, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hands a start to summer signing Daniel James as Andreas Pereira drops to the bench in the only change to the side that thrashed Chelsea. The back four remains the same as we looked very solid against Frank Lampard’s side’s attack.
James adds pace down the right whilst Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford make up a very quick attack.
Rui Patricio; Ryan Bennett, Conor Coady, Willy Boly; Matt Doherty, Leandor Dendoncker, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Jonny; Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota
Substitutes: John Ruddy, Romain Saiss, Ruben Vinagre, Morgan Gibbs-White, Adama Traore, Pedro Neto, Patrick Cutrone
Nuno rarely surprises anyone as he names the starting Xi that we were all expecting for this evening’s game. Raul Jimenez is the star striker up front whilst Joao Moutinho and Ruben Neves will try go maintain possession and dictate the game for the hosts.
Our pace down the wings should cause the Wolves defence some problems in particular.
