Deal Almost Agreed for Barcelona to sign experienced world cup finalist

According to reports, Manchester United are keen on a possible move to land Croatia star Ivan Rakitic in the summer window.

Reports emanated from Spain that the Red Devils are preparing to submit a lucrative bid to sign Barcelona midfield maestro Ivan Rakitic later in the summer window.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, as per The Sun, is suggesting that Manchester United are keen on a possible move to land the Croatian.

The same report suggests that Rakitic, 30’s future at the Catalan club is in major doubt after the La Liga leader signed highly rated Dutch youngster Frenkie de Jong from Eredivise club Ajax earlier this term.

Frenkie de Jong will team up with his new teammates at the Spanish club in the summer window when Jong, 21, will rival Rakitic for a place in the first-team squad.

As per the same report, the Red Devils could face stiff competition from top three European clubs for the FIFA World Cup finalist at the conclusion of the campaign.

The report also mentioned the Red Devils rivals for Ivan Rakitic as German Champions Bayern Munich, Ligue 1 league leaders Paris Saint-Germain and Italian giant Inter Milan.

The midfield maestro has netted two goals and has created two assists in 24 matches in the league for the La Liga table toppers in the current season.

The highly experienced Croatian has lifted three Spanish La Liga titles, a total of four Copa del Rey crowns and the Prestigious UEFA Champions League since his transfer to the Catalan club from Sevilla back in 2014.
