According to reports, English giants Manchester United look to have received a huge boost in their chase of Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly, after the defender was tipped to complete a reduced-price transfer away from Italy.
As per the Daily Star, the Premier League club are keen on signing a new central defender to strengthen their defense following their inability to do so last month.
The same report suggest that he has been a long-term transfer target for the Red Devils, with the side allegedly making a £95million bid for the Senegal international defender before the winter transfer window, a bid that was rejected by Napoli.
However, not minding their failure with this offer, it seems like the Red Devils may have received a major boost in their chase of the defender according to Koulibaly’s former representative.
According to the Mirror, Koulibaly’s former representative Bruno Satin told Canal+ that if the African star leaves the Serie A club, he will not join French giant Paris Saint Germain. His move could cost around 87.5m.
This is sweet music in the ears of Manchester United faithful’s, as it looks like the defender could be available at a reduced-price, a development that’ll certainly gladden the heart of Red Devil fans.
The Senegalese is one of World best centre backs, and should he make the move to the 20-time English champions, he would surely put a stop to the side’s search for defensive additions.
He has displayed during his time with the Italian club that he possesses what it takes to be tagged the best defender in the world in no distance future.
