BREAKING: Red January for Red Devils; First manager of the year award since Sir Alex in 2012

Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has won the manager of the month award for January.

The Red Devils earned 10 points from 12 available points with remarkable Victories over Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspurs and Brighton and a draw with Burnley FC

Manchester United in-form forward Marcus Rashford won the player of the month award for January.

The 21-year-old netted three goals in four Premier league matches, including winners against Tottenham and Brighton FC.

The 20-time English champions have reduced the gap to the top four from 11 points to just two under the Norwegian, who took over from the Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho on 19 December.

The Red Devils have won 9 matches out of 10 under Ole Solskjaer and he has been informed he will be in charge for the remainder of this season.

Ole takes his Squad to to lodon to play Fulham on Saturday before playing French Ligue 1 champions and leaders Paris St-Germain in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday and facing former Premier League champions and rivals Chelsea in Emirates FA Cup fifth round tie on Monday, February 18.
