Matty Willock and Joel Pereira have both returned to Old Trafford after their loan deals expired.
Both footballers have had highly disappointing loans spells at clubs St Mirren and Vitoria Setubal
Joel Pereira was in goal at Portuguese side Setubal, playing ten matches for the European club and just three for Manchester United’s first team.
Matty Willock, also, is a midfield maestro for St Mirren, but saw his loan spell reduced, unfortunately, by St. Mirren.
Matty Willock racked up 13 matches under his belt at the side, but unlike Joel Pereira, he has yet to start a game for Manchester United’s senior squad.
The 22-year-old, has been capped on 21 occasions for Portugal’s U-21 squad, but has yet to secure the major break into their senior team.
Their recalls back to Old Trafford is unlikely to change anything in the team of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Matty Willock wouldn’t be able to last in a battle for a slot in the Red Devils midfield that’s massively packed with the likes of: France international midfielder Paul Pogba, Belgium international combative midfielder Marouane Fellaini, Spaniard Ander Herrera, and Serbia international Nemanja Matic, to name just a few.
And if Joel Pereira is considering stealing an opportunity to get called back into the senior squad, it could prove extremely hard for the starlet.
It is extremely likely Manchester United will ship out both players once again, if not this January, at the end of the season.
The Red Devils have been extremely brilliant since former striker and Norwegian international tactician was appointed head coach of the team after Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho was sacked last month following internal troubles and poor results.
