According to British media reports, English Premier League giants Manchester United are set to pay a whopping £70million to land Jordan Pickford from Merseyside outfit Everton if Spain international goalkeeper David De Gea leaves the Manchester club.
The Daily Mirror is claiming that Manchester United are set to splash a huge money transfer fee on landing the England international safe hand as the uncertainty about the Spaniard’s future continues.
The Real Madrid target’s present deal at Old Trafford is due to run out next summer window, although manchester United are believed to be set to activate a one-year enlongation to that deal.
The same report suggest that david De Gea wants weekly pay of about £350,000-weekly to commit his future to Old trafford on a long term and turn down a switch to French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
The report goes on to suggest that the Red Devils are “already preparing” how they can convince Pickford to leave Goodison Park if David De Gea should leave.
The £70million transfer fee to land Pickford would surpass the £66.8million Merseyside club Liverpool paid Serie A side Roma for Brazil international safe hand Alisson in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils will be looking to return to winning ways in the English Premier League when North London giants Arsenal travel to United’s home – Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
