Deal Almost Agreed!!! Ed Woodward plot moves to lure Pochettino to Man United

Tottenham Hotspurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to be named next manager of Manchester United.

According to media reports in England, Pochettino wants to replace Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho as Manchester United head coach.

The Spurs head coach is viewed by Red Devils Chief as the ideal successor to Jose Mourinho but the 20-time English champions will not attempt to appoint him midway through the campaign.

After the sacking of Mourinho on Tuesday, the Tottenham boss evaded questions about possibly becoming Jose’s successor at Man United but as per The Times, the Argentine sees the United position as a chance that’s ‘too good to reject’ and has already considered taking the Old Trafford role.

The same report also suggests that the Red Devils are preparing a bid for the coach, including his technical crew at Tottenham.

The Premier League giants, however, face the tough task of convincing Tottenham Hotspurs chairman Daniel Levy to release the 46-year-old tactician.

The Spurs manager signed a deal extension with the North London club in May which ties him to the club until the summer of 2023. And it will cost the Red Devils about £34 million in compensation fee to lure him from London to Manchester.

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward during a short meeting at the clubs carrington training ground on Tuesday morning.

A statement by the club on Tuesday states that Michael Carrick will take charge of the team for the next 48 hours after which a caretaker coach will be appointed to take charge till summer when a permanent tactician will be named.
