Bid Made: £53million Fiorntina star could join Man United in January

According to reports, Premier League side Manchester United have allegedly made £52.8million offer for Serie A club Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.

The Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho is thought to have personally watched 20-year-old centre-half Milenkovic during his national team – Serbia’s Nations League encounter against their close neighbors Montenegro last Thursday.

As per a report by La Nazione, the Red Devils manager was highly impressed with what he watched from the eight-time capped player, and the 20-times English champions have now tabled a bid of £52.8million for his signature during the winter transfer window.

Nikola Milenkovic joined Serie A club Fiorentina from Partizan in May 2017, and has greatly impressed since joining the Italian top-tier.

Manchester United were highly frustrated in their chase of a couple of world-class defender next summer transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur and Belgium international defender Toby Alderweireld and Leicester City star Harry Maguire two players strongly connected with moves to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, another Serbian international midfielder Serbian Milinkovic Savic has also been speculated with a transfer to Old Trafford kept very close tabs during their match against Montenegro.

The Premier League side will look to make it consecutive wins in the English top flight when they visit Chelsea next weekend.

Also, Manchester United are alleged to be preparing a £40 million offer for Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam ahead of the winter transfer window which re-opens in the next few months.

In the Goalkeeping position, the Red Devils are also hoping to lure Jan Oblak to Old Trafford to replace unsettled first choice goalkeeper David De Gea.
