English Premier League side Manchester United are preparing a bid for Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill after the England international centre-half was told he is free to leave Stamford Bridge.
As per UK Metro report quoting Express, the 32-year-old defender has been assured by Chelsea chiefs that they will not prevent him from departing if a credible bid that satisfies everyone involved in the mid-season transfer window in the New Year.
Interestingly, in the present season, the former Bolton defender has played in only six games for the West London club this season with Italian tactician Maurizio Sarri preferring the pair of Brazil international defender David Luiz and German star Antonio Rudiger at centre-back.
The report also claimed that the Red Devils head coach Jose Mourinho is keen to submit a New year offer for the England international defender, whose deal at Stamford Bridge, runs out next summer.
At the last count, the Cahill, 32, has claimed the League title under Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge, has been connected with a move to the likes of West Ham, Aston Villa, Southampton, and Sheffield Wednesday.
Also, according to Sky Sports, West Ham United star Marko Arnautovic has hinted he may be set to leave the London club in order to chase his long desired dream of playing UEFA Champions League football.
The Red Devils were connected with a switch for him in the summer but his club were unwilling to cash in on a player they see as an important member of the squad.
