Done Deal: Man United set to lose world class attacker in January
Manchester United superstar Alexis Sanchez is allegedly desperate to leave the club soonest after falling down manager Jose Mourinho’s pecking order at Old Trafford.
The Chilean is believed to be unhappy that he isn’t being handed the regular starts he was promised when he decided to join Man United over rivals Manchester City when leaving North London giants Arsenal back back in January, as per the Daily Star.
The Red Devils now seem unable to hold on to the South American for much longer as the former barcelonal forward claims he’s not willing to wait until the conclusion of the ongoing campaign to leave the club despite the chance that Jose Mourinho could be shown the exit in that time.
The Portuguese tactician is under severe pressure after a disappointing start to the campaign, with lot of rumour for the last couple of months about potential replacements coming in for the forward.
That speculation hasn’t died down, with Antonio Conte reportedly under consideration by Manchester United hierarchy, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.
OkDiario also claim French tactician Zinedine Zidane remains a major target for the Red Devils, though German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have joined the race to snap up the former Real Madrid manager.
Whoever does emerge as the new head coach at Old Trafford, it looks increasingly unlikely they will get the opportunity to work with the South American and try to reignite his playing career.
Alexis Sanchez, 29, may likely be exhausted at the highest level after a long playing career at a high level, which has possibly led to burn-out early.
