According to Italian media reports, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho feels Sampdoria star Joachim Andersen can help the club to solve their defensive problems.
Italian outlet La Repubblica, as cited by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that United have been closely scouting the defender over the past couple of months with view to a possible move.
The same report states that United had four club scouts at Sampdoria’s recent 4-1 loss in the Serie A to Torino with the winter transfer window drawing closer.
As per the same report, The Premier League giant are “extremely positive” that he can help to further strengthen their defense under the Portuguese tactician.
The report goes on to suggest that the former Real Madrid and Chelsea head coach is “convinced” about the Denmark international succeeding at Old Trafford despite his €30million valuation.
However, the Red devils could have to wait until next summer window to land the Dane, as the report claims the Serie A club would be unwilling to offload the reliable defender until the current season end.
