In-form Manchester United star Anthony Martial has opted to remain at Old trafford and sign a fresh and improved deal, this is as per reports.
The France international forward has played a major part in Manchester United recent good run of form that has seen the side win their latest matches in the Premier League. He has netted five goals in six matches and manager Jose Mourinho is delighted with the Frenchman.
At the beginning of the campaign, the French forward was reported sad with life at Old Trafford and he was connected with a transfer away from the club. Following the acquisition of Chile international forward Alexis Sanchez in the winter transfer window, the attacker was subjected to limited playing time for the bigger part of last term and this situation made Martial unhappy.
Martial’s current deal with the 20-time English champions will runout at the conclusion of next campaign, with Man United having the right to activate a one year elongation.
The French wide man had stalled over penning a fresh contract with the club but now, as per the Sun, the forward has made a stunning U-turn in his decision and he’s set to sign a new contract.
Manchester United are ready to pay him about £190,000-weekly as per reports and this is coming after England international defender Luke Shaw was offered a massive pay rise.
Jose Mourinho and Manchester United are also reportedly leading the race to complete the acquisition of Ajax and Dutch centre-half Matthijs de Ligt.
