According to media reports, Premier League giant Manchester United are set to reward forward Anthony Martial for his form of late with a five-year deal worth about £190,000-weekly.
The Sun is claiming that Man United are set to pay the France international playmaker a £45million five-year contract to complete Anthony Martial’s long-term fixture at the club.
The same report suggest that the Martial recently turned down a deal worth about £160,000-weekly but the ex-Lyon attacker wants to remain at Old Trafford.
As per the same report, the Red Devils will launch new talks with Martial’s agents this week in the hope of agreeing a deal with the winger.
The Sun claim that United are hoping to seal their number 11’s playing future by Christmas considering interest from Juventus.
The British outlet go on to cite an unnamed source within the side who shed light on United’s planned talks with their in-form attacker.
The 22-year-old joined the 20-time English champions in a £36million transfer deal from AS Monaco back in the 2015 summer under Dutch tactician Louis van Gaal.
The France international netted 17 goals in his debut season in the League after Martial scored on his debut in United’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool back in September 2015.
He has struggled for consistency under Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho in the last 2-years.
However, he looked to have regained form recently after scoring in his last four matches in the League to help man United gather 10 points.
The Red Devils will lock horns with City rivals and League leaders Manchester City at The Etihad Stadium on Sunday evening.
