According to widespread media reports, Premier League giants Manchester United will have one less team to rival in the battle over Aaron Ramsey as it seems Merseyside giant Liverpool are not ready to pursue the signing.
The Wales international midfielder is heading towards the conclusion of his deal with Arsenal and it has long been suggested he’s set to leave the side on a free transfer at the conclusion of the campaign.
As cited by the Daily Mirror, Aaron Ramsey is not ready to earn a fresh deal at the north London club, and somewhat shockingly, the Merseysider’s don’t want to table an offer for him either.
The report claim this is because of both Ramsey’s age and injury history, with the ex Cardiff City starlet set to clock 28 later in the year.
This is great news for Manchester United, who are also named as suitors by top publication the Mirror, while other English clubs and sides around the continent will also certainly be on red alert.
It’s not often players of the midfielder’s ability are available in the transfer market for free, so someone will certainly come along and submit a good bid before too long.
The 27-year-old midfield maestro has always been a solid performer for the gunners, and is seen as a big-match player, having scored two winning goals in Emirates FA Cup finals in year 2014 and 2017.
The Reds don’t really need another midfielder after signing Brazilian Fabinho and Guinean Naby Keita in the summer, however, and will possibly justifiably feel they could even do better.
