Manchester United shot stopper David de Gea has allegedly been left shocked by recent remarks made by Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho over the goalkeeper’s future.
The Spain international safe hand’s name has dominated newspaper headlines again in recent times as it seems as though his future could lie away from Manchester United.
David De Gea’s current deal with the Red Devils runs out at the end of this campaign, and while there is a clause to extend that for another year, he doesn’t seem close to elongating beyond that, as per a recent report by the Telegraph.
Since then, Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho has also been cited by Sky Sports as saying he was not very confident the Spaniard would renew with the the club.
These remarks, however, are thought to have been met with shock by the 27-year-old and his agents, as per to Spanish outlet Sport.
The report claims David De Gea is glad to extend for a further season and that he’s delighted with life at Old Trafford.
However, it is little shock the Red Devils would like to see more commitment from the goalie soon as he’s without doubt been one of the club’s most important players for about five season or more.
Te Spaniard has out-performed other top players at the club like France international midfielder and World Cup winner Paul Pogba, Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez and Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku, and is arguably one of the best goal keepers in the World today.
