Graeme Souness believes Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is the “full package” at the club when the winger is in the right frame of mind.
The France international forward has been the club’s best player over the past couple of month to help the team to gather seven points from their last three League matches.
Anthony Martial has found his first-team chances reduced since the signing of Belgium international striker Romelu Lukaku and Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez over the past one year at the club.
The 22-year-old found the net in the Red Devils thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over Newcastle at Old Trafford before the last FIFA international break to score for the second time in the Premier League this term.
The French man netted twice to cancel out defender Antonio Rudiger’s opening goal against rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before England international midfielder Ross Barkley’s late equalizing goal denied Martial the title of match winner after a 2-all draw.
The ex-Monaco attacker continued his goal-scoring streak with the second goal in his side’s 2-1 victory over Merseyside giants Everton at the Theatre of Dreams after the forward won the penalty for midfielder Paul Pogba’s opening goal.
However, former Liverpool skipper Souness feels Anthony Martial has immense talent to become a prominent player at Old Trafford if the France player is in the zone.
He joined Manchester United in a £36million transfer deal from Lyon back in the 2015 summer window to become the World’s most expensive teenager.
However, Martial lost that ‘expensive’ title to teenager sensation Kylian Mbappe after the France forward sealed a £160million move to Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in 2017.
