According to reports, Premier League side Manchester United look ready to face a serious challenge from Ligue 1 side Paris Saint Germain in the race to complete a swoop for German and FC Barcelona superstar Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
As per Don Balon, the French club are set to hold negotiations with the Ligue 1 club regarding the 26-year-old shot-stopper, and that they want to make the German the World’s highest paid player in his position, with it also being claimed that PSG are set to pay as much as €100m to complete Ter Stegen’s move.
Don Balon have also claimed in the past that the Red Devils are keen on landing ter Stegen as a replacement for Spain international goalkeeper David De Gea, and that they too are set to pay €100m in order to sign the German.
It’s rather easy to see why he is wanted by two top European sides in Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain, as the German international goalkeeper has been one of the best safe hands in the World these past few seasons.
The Ex-Borussia Monchengladbach player has been brilliant in goal for his side this season, carrying on the form football fans saw him display last term that played a huge part in FC Barcelona to be successful in the Spanish La Liga.
The Catalan club had one of Europe’s best defences last season in terms of conceded goals, something that is highly down to the brilliant displays of ter Stegen.
If the Catalan club do decide to let him go, it’ll be interesting to see if either PSG or Manchester United will win the race to sign the German.
