Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema has told close associates that he would be keen on a switch to Old Trafford in the nearest future.
The France international striker has been one of Real Madrid’s most vital players for over ten years now, playing as the side’s only Number 9 during a period of huge success for the side.
The La Liga giants have won a record three UEFA Champions League titles back-to-back, most recently defeating Premier League side Liverpool 3-1 in May, with the frenchman scoring the first goal in the match.
The 30-year-old has scored a total of 254 goals in his career and remains a formidable and prolific striker, despite having issues at the bneginning of the 2018-19 league season.
The striker has only managed to score five goals across all competitions so far this season, as Real Madrid have heavily struggled to find the net in general during a rather poor opening few months of the campaign, which has led to transfer rumour regarding Benzema’s future – according to the Daily Express.
As per Sport English, the forward has admitted to friends that he would love to play for the Red devils or Ligue 1 champions Paris Sanit Germain, with the winter transfer window around the corner.
Manchester United have been less impressive themselves this season, with first choice striker Romelu Lukaku heavily struggling to lead the United line effectively despite a lot of quality players around him.
Without doubt, the Real Madrid star has the quality and experience to add something extra to any side on the continent, but having said that, Benzema remains very much a Real Madrid player for the time being.
