Football Pundit Gary Lineker took to the internet to praise Chelsea super-sub Ross Barkley after the England international scored the Blues’ equalising goal in their interesting 2-2 draw with Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United on Saturday Afternoon.
United have found themselves under severe pressure recently after a rather poor start to the new campaign for the side.
The Red Devils have already lost three matches this term to heap so much pressure on Jose this early stage of the League season.
And United fell behind in the first half when Germany international defender Antonio Rudiger scored to give the host a 1-0 lead.
However, United equaled the scoreline in the 55th minute when France international forward Anthony Martial found the net.
And the French man scored the second goal of the afternoon in the 73rd moment to put his side ahead at Stamford Bridge.
But it was Ross Barkley who had the last say in the closing stages of the exciting match, when he equalized for the home team deep into stoppage time to continue his impressive start to the campaign.
After the equalizing goal was scored, Gary Lineker wrote on Social Media sit Twitter: “What a week for Barkley. Great to see.”
The two-all draw left the Red Devils seven points adrift Premier League leaders Chelsea on the table.
Manchester United will return to UEFA Champions League duty on Tuesday evening when they host Serie A champions Juventus at the Theatre of dreams in the group stage.
Former Premier League champions Chelsea, meanwhile, will lock horns with BATE Borisov in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday evening.
