Slippery Slope for Jose Mourinho

Its looking like slippery times at Manchester United at the moment.  Luke Shaw’s head injury has caused a selection problem at Manchester United.  The injury sustained against Spain means that the England left back will certainly miss the next Premier League match.  The Manchester club spent vast sums during the last three transfer windows but do not have adequate cover in the left back position.  The obvious choices would be either Ashley Young or Matteo Darmian, who do not play naturally in that position.  Watford will know this weakness in the starting line up and will undoubtedly want to target the left side of the defence.  With a host of attacking talent in Watford’s squad, players like Andre Gray and Roberto Pereyra will be wanting to make a big impact on Saturday.

According to Manchester United Fan and Sports Betting Experts from Volt Casino Promo, the International break has come at a very good time for Jose Mourinho and his players;

“The international break has come at the right time for Jose, who has been under pressure since tripping up at the Amex Stadium versus Brighton and against Spurs at Old Trafford.  The last few weeks really has been a wobbly experience for him, where he also tripped over a barrier outside of Wembley.”

Word on the grapevine suggests that the Paul Pogba links to Barcelona are still circulating.  This will be unwanted background noise for Jose, who must be getting tired of Mino Raiola’s obvious meddling.  The agent has a poor reputation in the industry, encouraging his players to make moves between Europe’s largest clubs.  The jury will be out at Vicarage Road and Pogba needs to put in a tight performance, otherwise the fans could start to turn on the French international.

Certain sections of the media have suggested bringing in Zinedine Zidane would help stabilise the club and motivate the players.  The energy at Old Trafford does not look anywhere near to where it needs to be.  Challenging for four trophies this season is going to put pressure on the squad and the board would be wise to strengthen in January.  They certainly do not want anymore slip ups and fall any further behind their Manchester rivals.  It is looking like they are both going to attempt to sign Ruben Neves from Watford in the nest window.  The Portuguese midfielder is valued at £60m and would add the extra bite that United need at the moment.  Thats if they can convince him to join instead of heading to Pep Guardiola’s giants.
