Deadline deals: United positioned to sign world cup star

With the transfer deadline almost here, United coach Jose Mourinho is keeping tabs with the transfer market as he already identified targets for club director to sign.

Its is widely believed that the talismanic manager is keen on bringing in Leicester city defender Harry Maguire. The £65million rated English man has been subjected to transfer speculations all through the transfer window.

Dailymail reported that Leicester city are closing in on two new centre backs as a cover should in case the defender forces a move to United.

Thursday transfer deadline would be one all fans will closely monitor as major reinforcement is needed at the back to provide stiff competition for Smalling, Jones, Rojo and Bailey.

United already sold utility man Daley Blind to Ajax and would look to replace him due to the demands of this season as United will be competing on all fronts in domestic championship and Europe.

Harry Maguire still wants United move as he has seen his stock rose after a fantastic world cup outing in June. Leicester are in advanced talks to sign two centre-backs – Filip Benkovic from Dinamo Zagreb and Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg – at a combined cost of about £35m. This could open another bid from United for the Englishman.
