United to complete deal for Left Back

Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has struggled to make an impact under Jose Mourinho, and the young left back is set to join Scunthorpe on loan.

The young defender was featured more during the era of Louis Van Gaal as coach of United. The fast defender is a toast of a number Football League , but Scunthorpe look to have won the race for his services this campaign.

Borthwick-Jackson has had spells out on loan at Wolves and Leeds during the last two seasons and United are ready to loan him out again as he does not feature in Jose Mourinho’s plans for the new season.

According to Dailymail, The League One club want him to replace Conor Townsend who is primed to join West Brom. The defender is set to seal his move to the Championship side this weekend for a fee in the region of £600,000.

The 21 year old is down the pecking order at Old Trafford as Ashley young looks to have cemented his place as united preferred left back with Mourinho deploying the attacker to left back position all through last season.

This week would be a busy week for United as Mourinho is not happy with the number of deals done by the club in the transfer market.
