Loan deal confirmed for Borthwick-Jackson

Manchester United have confirmed that young defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will spend the 2018-19 season out on loan to Scunthorpe United.

It will be the 21-year-old’s third loan spell away from the club after making a handful of appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers and then Leeds United in the Championship during the 2016-17 and 2017-18 campaigns respectively.

Borthwick-Jackson will be hoping to a regular for the League One side this upcoming season having gained plenty of first-team experience at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal three seasons ago, which included 10 Premier League appearances.
