On the back of his recent world cup exploits English defender Harry Maguire would consider a big move to actualize his dream of being the best defender.
United is reportedly looking at the avenue of signing the Leciester city defender. The 27 year old defender represented the three lions and was one of the star performers as he relegated Cahill to the bench.
With the current transfer market, a purported fee of around £65 million is set to be on the cards according to Goal.com. The Foxes paid around £17 million for the 25-year-old a year ago and would be ready to cash in on the big defender if the price is right.
Maguire is aware of the speculation and admits that he harbours ambitions of playing at the very top of the game, telling The Sun: “Every player wants to play at the highest level.
“I’ve just come back from playing at a World Cup, where I really enjoyed the high pressure of the games. It was something that I really thrived off.
“Leicester have been unbelievable to me and I’m really happy there but I’m also an ambitious player and everyone wants to play at the top.”
The defender will be providing a stiff competition for starting berth place.
