United teenage sensation Mason Greenwood is on United pre-season tour. He is part of the seven youth-team players in their squad for the tour of the United States.
Others are Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, RoShaun Williams, Ethan Hamilton, Joshua Bohui, Mason Greenwood and James Garner who would like to emulate Scott McTominay for first team credentials.
Mason stands out of the park, as he is highly rated amongst his peers. Clayton Blackmore is still amazed at his level of composure and had this to say when questioned by MEN sports,
“We don’t know how good he is going to get. He’s still growing.
“He’s great on the ball and very good with both feet. He’s the first person I’ve seen that takes penalties and free-kicks with his wrong foot. I’ve never come across anyone like that! He’s got a great chance.”
At 16, Greenwood fired United to the Under-18 Premier League North as his goals help United to be league champions. He was the top scorer
He was also awarded Player of the Tournament, despite being the youngest player in the squad, when United won the ICGT trophy in May.
The goal poacher represented England at the Under-17s level, making six appearances last season and he was part of their squad in the Algarve Tournment in Portugal earlier this year.
United academy is known for churning out stars of the future.
Lets watch and see.
