Although January transfer window might have been shot down, but that hasn’t stop rumours linking players in and out of club as we look forward to summer transfer window.
Latest report from the Express claims that Real Madrid have offered France international Karim Benzema to Manchester United as part of a potential deal to sign Spain Shot Stopper David de Gea.
The Los Blancos have refused to give up on the signature of de Gea after failing to secure his services in 2015 due to faulty fax machine.
Madrid are currently struggling in the league games and they want to make an overhaul of their team next season.
They have have made Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Tottenham’s Harry Kane and United de Gea their prime target in the summer.
Knowing how much these players will cost them and not falling under the Financial Fair Play hammer, Madrid want to sell some of their under-performing players to balance their book.
Benzema has struggled for form this season. The 30-year old striker has only managed to score just five goals in 19 appearances for the Galacticos this season.
Mourinho is a great fan of Benzema having worked with him at Bernabeu when he was Madrid boss.
His admiration for the French star was not a secret as he constantly favours him over Gonzalo Higuain in his starting line-up.
However, I personally don’t see United making a move for Benzema in the summer.
The Red Devils recently recruited Alexis Sanchez and they still have other top players such as Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford who can play as a point man.
