Manchester united have complete the transfer of England Under-21 defender Axel Tuanzebe to Championship side Aston Villa for a six month loan.
The highly versatile player, capable of playing in the defense and central midfield will spend the second half of the season on loan at Villa Park to gain play time and experience.
Jose Mourinho was reluctant to let go Tuanzebe initially due to injury concern of United top players including Eric Bailly, but later decided to free the young star in order to get more play time.
The 20-year old star joined the Red Devils academy at the age of eight and had progresses through the ranks to the senior team.
The talented star made his debut for the Red Devils last year January, when he came in as a substitute replacing Timothy Fosu-Mensah in an FA Cup game against Wigan Athletic.
Speaking on his move, Tuanzebe told Aston Villa official website:
“I am deflghted to be here,” said Tuanzebe.
“It’s an exciting time at this football club and everyone is pushing for promotion – that’s the big aim, you can feel that here.
“I am determined to help this club achieve its goals.”
Villa are currently fourth on the Championship table and will hope Tuanzebe service will help them qualify for Premier League spot at the end of the season.
The DR Congo born defender made three appearances for United before his move to Villa Park.
