Report making the rounds claims that Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez will undertake a medical at Manchester United today.
The 28-year old goal poacher has boarded a private jet to to Manchester as he is set to undergo medicals at Carrington training ground on Sunday according to Daily Mail.
The sensational forward will joined Jose Mourinho’s side after Arsenal agreed a deal with United.
Sanchez deal to Manchester United will involve Armenia winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the opposite direction after agreeing a personal tern with the Gunners.
Speaking to the press after Yesterday 1-0 victory over Burnley, Mourinho admitted United are close to securing the Chilean services but insisted there was still work to be done to get the transfer through.
The worked needed to be done could be his medicals at Manchester, which Daily Mail claims will take place today.
“I expect soon or never,” said Mourinho after Burnley game.
“I think it’s so close, so close that if it doesn’t happen it’s not going to happen, so I am positive.
“I know that my people are doing everything, absolutely everything they can, the owners with the green light, [executive vice-chairman] Mr [Ed] Woodward’s working hard.
“I think everybody is giving everything they can and I think they are going to be successful.
“Have I spoken to the player yet? No.”
Sanchez, who is expected to wear the fabled No.7 shirt for the Red Devils, has scored seven Premier League goals this season.
The former Barcelona forward will be able to play for Manchester United in the Champions league since Arsenal didn’t qualify for the European competition this season.
His experience, skills and prolific goal scoring abilities will definitely add more sparks to United attack.
Should he pass his medicals, the Red could officially announce the deal today.
