Manchester United Lock Horns With Juventus For £44m Rated Wonder Kid

Report making the rounds claims that Manchester United have enter the race to sign Cagliari wonder kid Nicolo Barella.

Sky Sports claims United have join Liverpool and Juventus for the Italy international signature and that it will cost around £44m for United to lure the star to Old Trafford this January.

Barella, a product of Cagliari academy made his senior team debut for the Serie A club in May 2015, replacing Diego Farias in the 68th minutes in a 4-0 win over Parma.

Ever since then, he has become a regular for the Serie A club, although he was sent on loan to Serie B side Como in January 2016 for the second half of the season.

While on loan at Como, the Italy Under-21 midfielder became a regular and impressed. He returned to Cagliari for 2016/17 season and made a total of 28 appearances.

His fine display has also seen him making 18 starts and two goals already this season.

His fine form has gone unnoticed as top European teams are now fighting for his signature.

Jose Mourinho has informed United hierarchy of his intention to strengthen his squad this season.

He has identified the left-back position, the midfield and the wing as his key areas to strengthen.
