The Chilean attacker was left out of Arsenal’s squad for their game against Bournemouth today amid speculation of a potential switch to either of the Manchester club.
Speaking to the press before Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at Vitality stadium, Wenger confirms a resolution to Sanchez future at Emirate stadium is imminent
He said: “He’s been vague at the moment; his situation is not decided one way or the other so I left him at home.”
Asked if a resolution, one way or the other, was imminent, Wenger added:
“Yes, but don’t read too much into it because even I don’t know what way it will go.
“You want to focus on the players who are on the pitch who can do well for the club.”
Manchester City were thought to be leading the race for the former Barcelona striker but they seems to have given up as they are not willing to meet the Gunners valuation.
It is reported that the Citizens will only spend £20m on Sanchez signature.
