Almost Done: Manchester United Agree Deal With Club For Highly Rated Defender – Announcement Imminent

Manchester United are yet to make major signing into their first team squad this transfer window but have completed some loan moves for their academy players to secure a first team football and experience.

Latest report according to the Mirror claims that the Red Devils have reached agreement with Scottish team Heart to sign England Under-20 defender Demetri Mitchell for the remaining part of the season while the Sun claims that deal have been completed.

The 21-year star joined United academy at the age of 10 and has been frequently active in the Red Devils under-23 team this season, making 12 appearances while also finding the back of the net four times.

Mitchell was part of England team that won the Under-17 European Champions in 2014.

The left-back defender was handed a senior team debut by Jose Mourinho against Crystal Palace in the Premier League last season. He has however failed to make any appearances ever since then.

Heart boss Craig Levein has earlier reveal he will strengthen his side with at least three first team players this January as they hope to fight for Scottish Cup as well as Scottish Premiership.

Heart, who are currently fifth in the Scottish Premier League will travel to Spain today for a warm weather training came.
