On loan Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has snub early return to Manchester United according to report from the Daily Star.
The Brazilian star was sent on a season long-loan to La Liga side Valencia last summer and he impressed. The 22-year-old signed for Manchester United in 2011 from Dutch side PSV. Great things were expected of him but he found playing time hard to come by.
He has so far impressed with Valencia who are currently overachieving in the La Liga this season. Pereira’s implessive displays in the colors of Los Che has led to speculations he could be recalled by Manchester United which the player has now dismissed.
“I’m here and I want to stay. He Told Superdeporte after their game against Las Palmers
“I feel good. I’m playing better and I want to win the cup with Valencia.”
On last night’s win, Pereira added: “I felt very good.
“Each game I feel better, I’m improving. I’m happy to help the team and give my best.
“This result gives us a lot of confidence and we need to work, be humble in order to continue to grow starting from keeping a clean sheet.
“We are all very excited about reaching the quarter-finals and we will try to reach the final.”
In fairness to the player, staying in Spain till at least the end of the current season will be good for him. He may have been doing well with Valencia so far this season but there is little chance he will break into the first team with Manchester United if he is to be recalled this window.
He is better of seeing off the season with Valencia then returning to United for pre-season. Should he do well during pre-season training, he will have a good chance of forcing his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans for the 2018/2019 season.
