Manchester United have reportedly exercise the option of extending the contracts of Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Daley Blind for a further year.
This is according to Telegraph which claims four united players including 34-year old England versatile winger Ashley has signed a contract extension till the end of next season.
The four players could have become a free agent next summer but the Red Devils have moved to secure their players thereby keeping them off from potential suitors.
Juan Mata has been linked to Inter Milan in recent weeks but this development will mean the Italian giants would have to look for other alternative to the Spaniard signature.
Barcelona on the other hand were thought to be interested in the services of Daley Blind and Ander Herrera this January transfer window.
One player whose future is unclear at Old Trafford at the moment is Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgium international will be out of contract at the end of the season but he is yet to renew his deal at Old Trafford.
The versatile midfielder has rejected the Red Devils offer and United could lose him for nothing next summer should they fail extend his contract or sell him this January.
Paris Saint Germain and Besitkas are two clubs that have registered interest in the 30-year old star.
