Not Again: Liverpool Beats Man Utd To Highly Rated French Forward – Player To Sign For Club In Coming Days

Manchester United hope of signing AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar has hit the rock after the player decided to make a switch to Anfield.

This report is according to Daily Star which claims the highly rated winger has decided to join Liverpool despite Manchester United interest in his services.

The report also claims that the highly talented French star has held talks with the Merseyside club and had also informed Monaco of his intention to join the Reds this January.

Lemar was close to joining Arsenal last summer but a final transfer bid for the winger at transfer dead-line day was rejected by the Ligue One defending champions, insisting the forward was part of their future plans.

However, it is believed the Reds want the 22-year old star to replace Barcelona bound Philippe Coutinho.

Report according to the Independent claims the Brazilian wizard has played his last game for Liverpool and will force a move to Nou Camp this winter transfer window.

Coutinho is highly rated by the La Liga giants. They see him as a perfect replacement for fellow country man Nermar, who left Barca for PSG last summer in a world record fee.

Should the rumour be true, it will certainly be a big blow to Jose Mourinho who has been monitory the forward progress in recent months.
