Young and exciting Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Kieran O’Hara has extended his stay with Manchester United by signing a new two-and-a-half years contract.
The 21-year old goalie is highly rated at Old Trafford and he is now expected to stay at the club till 2020.
The Irish star agent confirmed the news at United Carrington training complex on Friday in an Instagram post while Youth Academy coach Nicky Butt was seen with a snapshot with the goalie putting pen to paper.
The United Under-23 first choice goalie had been sent on season loan to non-league Stockport and League 2 side Morecamber in recent years to gain more exposure and experience.
Although yet to make any appearances for United senior team, he has was however on a substitute bench for United final Premier League match against Crystal Palace last season.
The highly rated shot stopper was also named in United Champions League squad earlier this season due to his outstanding performances for the junior team.
Mourinho has promised to give the youth team an opportunity at the senior team level after seeing the enormous quality his team possesses.
The academy team recently handed England Under-18 star Angel Gomes his first professional contract as a Manchester United player.
We however hope O’Hara will make it to the senior team in the nearest future.
