Manchester United had surprisingly responded to Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos tweet over his comment on Paul Scholes.
During a twitter Q&A section, the highly rated midfielder was asked who among Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard he considered the greatest in England midfielder and the Madrid star answer delighted the Red Devils fans.
The Germany international, who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for years, claimed Scholes was the greatest among the three England stars.
Former Manchester United boss David Moyes recently reveals he was close to luring the star to Old Trafford during his reign as United boss but the deal failed to materialize.
The Red Devils official twitter account replies Kroos’ tweet with a photograph of Scholes on Tuesday and this action has spark claims that United may try to make another attempt to sign the German in January.

Jose Mourinho brought Nemanja Matic to Old Trafford last summer to compliment Paul Pogba effort.
Although the Serbian international has been a great addition to United squad, it is however believed the Red Devils still lack depth in their midfield.
Belgium international midfielder Marouane Fellaini is out of contract next summer and he is yet to renew his contract, while team skipper Michael Carrick is likely to hang his boot next summer.
