Lukaku Ousted, Ibrahimovic and Mata starts: Manchester United vs Bournemouth Possible Line-up

Manchester United will play host to Premier League side AFC Bournemouth in a midweek game on Wednesday.

The Red Devils had a disappointing outing against league leader Manchester City yesterday in which they were defeated by 2-1 right in front of their home fans.

The defeat had their 40 games unbeaten home record broken while the gap between City and them increased to 11 points.

However, Jose Mourinho side will want to put the defeat behind them and get the three maximum points against Bournemouth so as to keep up the pressure on City.

Paul Pogba will still be out of selection due to suspension but Ander Herrera is tipped to replace the French star once again.

Number one expected change in Mourinho’s team will likely be misfiring Belgian star Romeru Lukaku. The summer signing was awful in Manchester derby game and we expect Zlatan Ibrahimovic to replace the Belgian in the number nine position.

Former Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata was a late substitute in the weekend game but he is expected to replace Jesse Lingard at the number 10 role. His creativity will be needed against the Cherries.

Summer signing Victor Lindelof had a decent performance when he came in to replace injured Rojo, making some long range passes. The former Benfica star will be expected to Partner Chris Smalling and Rojo in a three man defence.

This is how we expect Mourinho to line up his men with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford coming from the flanks in a 3-4-3 formation.

Predicted Manchester United Line-up vs Bournemouth:

De Gea, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo, Valencia, Young, Matic, Herrera, Mata, Martial, Rashford and Ibrahimovic.
