Teenage sensational Lucas Gomes who plies his trade with Swedish club Malmo could be swooping club in the nearest future.
According to report from the Metro, Manchester United are set to complete signing of Swedish wonderkid Gomes.
The young lad was in Old Trafford in October for a trial and it’s believed he impressed the Red Devils officials.
Although the Swedish club wants Gomes to remain at Malmo for his development but club director Mikael Brandrup believes the talented star will join United.
Asked about a potential switch to Old Trafford Brandrup said:
‘Lucas was in Manchester for week 44 and unfortunately I do not think we’ll keep him.
‘He moved here from Karlskrona in the autumn of 2016 to go to our sports school and, of course, he might have to wait until he left the school before moving back.
‘But I understand he’s impressed with United.’
Gomes claimed he was ‘really looking forward’ to his trials at United back in October.
‘It will be a lot fun and I will trial as well as play with them,’ the attacker said.
‘I think there will be a higher pace there but I hope and I think I will handle it. ‘I’m looking really forward to this adventure.’
With Zlanta Ibrahimovic moving toward the end of his career, Gomes could be a signing for the future.
Considered as a rough diamond, the 14-year old star is expected to be polished as he joins other rising talent in Old Trafford including Jesse Lingard, Marcos Rashford and Anthony Martial.
