Man Utd Striker To Exit Old Trafford In January – Player Wants Regular Play Time

Championship side Aston Villa, are set to make move for Manchester United forward James Wilson in January transfer window.

According to Daily Express, Villa boss Steve Bruce wants the England forward in his team as he seeks to overcome the injury crisis in his attack.

Villa forward Jonathan Kodjia is set for lengthy spell on the sideline after undergoing surgery on his ankle injury while back-up striker Scott Hogan is also currently on the sideline following an operation on his stomach.

19-year old Keina Gabby is the only available centre-forward for Aston Villa and Bruce is now desperate to bring in new striker when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Express however claims Financial Fair Play restriction could hinder Villa from making permanent signing which left them with the option to bring new striker on loan.

Wilson hasn’t make any appearances for the Red Devils since 2015 and has had unsuccessful loan spells with Brighton and Derby County in the past.

The highly rated forward however suffered a serious knee injury during his last loan spell at Derby County which restricted him to just four appearances for the championship team.

The England international has returned to full fitness, scoring three goals in seven appearances for United  U-23 team.

Wilson will certainly fancy a move from United in other to gain regular play time and regain  his confident.

Reading are reportedly interested in Wilson services but Bruce is sure to use his relationship with United to strike a deal.
