Speculations are rife that Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann might be joining Manchester United in the summer as an intense pursuit for player continues.
According media outlet Don Balon as reported by Caughtoffside, Griezman has a pre-contract agreement to move to Old Trafford for next season in an £89million deal.
The France international star was close to joining the Red Devils last summer but the deal failed to materialize after Aletico Madrid transfer ban until January was upheld.
While Barcelona have also declared interest in the forward, it seems Lionel Messi who just renews his contract at Camp Nou to 2020/21 is not a fan of Griezmann and would prefer his club to go for Paulo Dybala or Philippe Coutinho.
The player has been inspiring for Atletico since his move from Real Sociedad in 2014. The French star has been able to register 89 goals in 176 appearances for the La Liga club.
The appeal of English League could be too tempting to resist as the player earlier reveals a move to Old Trafford is a ‘possibility’.
The Red Devils would need that creative spark up-front and Greizmann could be a perfect fit for the much needed creativity. His speed and dribbles coupled with his excellent passing ability could help United return to number one team in Europe.
Chelsea were also reportedly interest in the play-maker, but it all seems United have won the race for his services now.
