Speculations are rife that England and Tottenham defender Dany Rose might be joinng Manchester United next summer following his current situation at white Hart Lane.
According to report from the Express, the 27-year old left-back has told his friends he wants to switch to Old Trafford.
Rose damaged knee ligaments against Sunderland in January and had surgery in May. Since he recovered from the injury, the he has found play time limited to the bench.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has continually favoured 24-year old Ben Davis ahead of Rose in his starting eleven.
Rose reveals he was ‘fuming’ after being left out of the team for last weekend 2-0 loss at Arsenal.
However, the 27-year old star returned to starting line-up in Tottenham’s Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund during the midweek and played 90 minutes.
Jose Mourinho has identified the left-back position as a key spot to strengthen in his defense line. He has constantly rotated the position among Ashley Young, Matteo Darmian and Daley Bling in recent times.
Speaking to the Press after 2-1 Champions League victory over Dortmund, Pochettino reveals he doesn’t care if Rose is angry for being left out of Match day squad.
“Will I make him train again?” he said. “Yes, maybe. We need to assess him. With Danny, after his injury it is important every time he is going to play he feels fresh to give his best.
“I am happy that he was angry because it means he wanted to play. But in the same way I don’t care, because it is my decision – I’m the boss. That is the problem for the players.
“He never showed that feeling to me. That’s why it surprised me, because the day before we had a conversation and he never showed he was angry.”
Either way, the North London club won’t sell in mid-season and any deal will likely have to wait until the end of the season.
