Spain and Espanyol left back Aaron Martin has express his feeling toward rumours linking him to top European teams including Manchester United and Manchester City.
The Spain Under-21 star says he is flattered by interest from the Red Devils but insisted he is happy to stay at Espanyol for his development.
The young star has been on scintillating form for the La Liga club this season making 13 starts.
Martin is tied to a contract in Catalunya until 2020 and has a €30 million release clause
The 20-year old star performance has caught the eye of Jose Mourinho and he is keen on luring the defender to Old Trafford in the winter.
Mourinho is currently in search of outright left back defender. He has rotated his left back position among Ashley young, Matteo Darmian, Daley Blind and Luke Shaw in recent times.
Speaking at a press conference, the talented player said:
“It’s flattering knowing that other teams follow you but I only think of Espanyol, I’m very happy to be here.
“I feel very comfortable with my teammates and they help me a lot like the coach and that makes me feel better every year.
“I am focused on playing every week well, helping the teammates and doing a good job.
“The success is not going to my head, I am keeping my feet on the ground.”
