Not Willian: Mourinho Targets Sensational Brazilian Midfielder As First January Deal

As January transfer window draw closer, rumours linking players to various clubs have started and latest of such is that linking Brazilian star Malcom to Old Trafford.

According to the Express, Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation of Bordeaux attacking midfielder Malcom in an attempt to lure him to England in January.

Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho is a key admirer of the starlet and he has sent out scouts to watch the midfielder on several occasions.

United scouts attended Bordeaux’s 1-1 draw with Marseille last Sunday to watch Malcom play.

Malcom joined the Ligue 1 side in 2014 from Brazilian club Corinthians and has made a total of 73 appearances for the French team with 16 goals to his name.

Should Bordeaux be willing to sell their young star, he will certainly not come cheap given that his contract runs out in 2021 and there are a host of suitors seeking for the star services, including Chelsea, Tottenham, PSG, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils are having a tough time trying to get Marouane Fellaini extend his contract beyond this summer.

The 30-year old midfielder contract expires this summer and he is yet to reach agreement with United for a renewal.

Report from Skysports suggests Paris Saint-Germain has agreed a four-year contract with the Belgian representative after having a secret talk.
